Meet Michaela
I began life being born into a family large family. It seemed there were always pregnant mothers and babies around. So naturally, from a young age, I became completely enamored with children and the wonderful mystery of life itself. I was raised in awe that I was made in the image and likeness of God and recognized I was here for a divinely appointed reason.
I was also given the great gift of having numerous aunts, female cousins, grandmothers, my two sisters and my mother that I could call on for wisdom, guidance and maybe just someone to hear me out.
I believe that one of the most potent ingredients to a fulfilling feminine life is having your tribe of women who you know will be there for you. You know you can count on them in the heights of your life and also in the valley of tears. Women bring the kind of soul medicine that nobody else can.
When I graduated high school, I attended Ave Maria University and received my bachelors degree in history with a minor in theology. During my time there, two classes had the biggest effect on my mind and my heart: Mary the Mother of God and Theology of the Body. My professors were able to guide my young mind in such a way to have even deeper reverence for the human body, soul and spirit. This was heightened by the understanding of the immense role the Virgin Mary accepted in the salvation of mankind. God gives immense honor to women.
During this intellectual awakening, I also experienced an awakening deep within my heart to serve women and babies. The conclusion that I came to was that I would become a nurse-midwife. So after my graduation from Ave Maria University, I applied to nursing school.
Within my first year of training, I realized that reverence for the human body, respect for the mystery of creation and trust in our God-given ability for self healing would not be found in the industrial medical system. My soul knew this was not in alignment yet I graduated with my degree in nursing, trusting that God would guide me.
After five years of working as a Registered Nurse, I discovered the program of my dreams: the Matribirth Mentor Institute. A program by women for women who thought outside of the box, supported in sisterhood and really walked the walk of sovereignty and self-resonsibility outside of the medical industrial complex.
I am thrilled to offer you the tools and skilled presence I have accessed through my training, faith background and ultimately my embodied experience as a woman to walk with you on your path to reclaim your relationship to birth, your body, fertility and ultimately - God Himself.
Your body is a temple.
In many ancient religions, the temple stood as a sacred place of communion with the divine. At its heart was the inner sanctum—the most holy space, where Heaven touched Earth. In Judaism, this was the Holy of Holies, the dwelling place of God's presence within the Ark of the Covenant.
Then came an immense shift in human history: God Himself chose to dwell not in the confines of stone, wood or gold, but in the flesh—within the womb of a woman. The womb became a place of Divine encounter.
By incarnating through of the Blessed Virgin, the Theotokos, He forever elevated the dignity of the human body and transformed the womb into the new Holy of Holies.
At Inner Sanctum Birthkeeping, I honor this divine truth. A woman’s body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Her womb is sacred ground—where life begins, and where Heaven once again meets Earth.
